Why this matters

Three sentences.

Twenty Jewish artists were forced to paint for the Nazis in exchange for the hope of staying alive.

Nearly all of their work disappeared.

One painting survived... because it ended up in Rockford, Illinois.

Why me?

For fifteen years I've been telling stories that most people walk past.

This is the story I've been preparing for my entire career.
