I'm not asking anyone to fund a whole film today.
I'm raising $65,000 in seed funding to develop this properly. That means building a trailer, developing the treatment, finding the full shape of the film, then creating the materials that attract the right producer.
That's the work that turns a story I'm chasing into a film a producer, and a festival, can say yes to.
Where the money goes
Two phasesI've been in Poland since June 8th and return September 14th. Roughly half of the production phase is already spent, paid out of my own pocket to keep the cameras rolling.

What seed funding builds
This money doesn't finish the film. It builds the things that get a film financed:
A trailer cut from the footage I'm gathering right now, the proof that this story holds on screen.
A full treatment, the shape of the film on paper, built from months of interviews, archives, and time on the ground in Białystok.
Producer materials, the package that lets me walk into a room with the right producer and the right festival and give them something they can say yes to.
